M&G Car Braking Systems were developed by a retired airline executive in 1987, Leon Meadows, who is also a pilot holding an airline transport rating. Travelling approximately four months out of each year in his motor coach, he saw the need for more stopping power especially in emergency situations.

He noted that a few, if any, motor homes have enough braking power when towing another vehicle, even though most drivers are aware of it. They don't realize that they are unable to stop quickly enough until they have had a serious accident or frighteningly close call.

Utilizing an extensive background in engineering, Meadows set out to create a braking system which would promote safety and bring peace of mind to today's recreational vehicle drivers.
